Mr. Jackson’s curriculum vitae is extensive, with backgrounds in project management, organizational advising, and social media and brand strategy. He is
currently the Consulting Director of Dance Teams at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In this role, he has been a key factor in campus dance teams’ success by

Xavia’s latest project from his London capstone, fittingly titled Permissions. Through this project, Xavia sought to explore the barriers of masculinity in the black
community and ask the question, “What Happens When a Black Man Gives Himself Permission to Dream?”. The self-invasive and vulnerable performance project
incorporates Afro elements of Futurism, Surrealism, and Expression through Black American performance culture and the influence of black musicianship. “Through my
knowledge and experiences as a Black man in America, I have cultivated something that does not have boundaries or limitations but allows us deeper thought of hope, visibility, unity and Black excellence,” Xavia Jackson said, speaking on his final portfolio performance.
Currently, as Xavia continues his journey of creative consulting, movement coaching through dance and manual therapies, and project management, he is near the
end of the development phases of his for-profit and non-profit companies, BlackPrint Creative: A Creative Architect Firm and MIS, Inc., which both place the importance of visibility and representation of black creatives and business minds at the forefront in fashion, film, and entertainment.
Returning from London, Xavia has continued his movement research with certifications in manual therapies: stretch and fascia to introduce a new means of body
maintenance to his students and soon surrounding communities.
Xavia has held positions at the University of Roehampton London, The University of Alabama, and Stillman College, working with campus departments and organizations to increase student engagement, close inequality gaps, and oversee student organizations.
